Kannik's Korner Patterns for Man's and Boy's Garments

Men's mid to late eighteenth Short Jacket pattern.   Documented for wear by late eighteenth and early nineteenth century farmers, laborers, apprentices, sportsmen and others.  Barry McPherson reports that a very similar style of jacket is worn by those portraying North West Company "gentlemen" while performing day-to-day chores at Old Fort William. $16.00 (P)

Men's "Slops", 1750 - 1820.  Slops are a protective garment used by sailors,   fishermen, farmers and field workers.  This pattern is bassed on original garments and contemporary illustrations. Side pocket slits to reach breeches pockets, and optional watch pocket or watch pocket access flap (to reach breeches watch pocket). Center front opening without fly buttons. Single lacing vent in back of waistband.  Includes waist sizes 32 through 52.       Only $14.00 (P)

Kannik's Korner Patterns for Woman's, Girl's and Infant's Clothing

Women's eighteenth century shift (chemise).  Although sometimes referred to as a "chemise" the more authentic term for a woman's basic undergarment is a "shift".  This pattern is used to create a woman's shift appropriate for the second half of the eighteenth century.  $12.00 (P)

Drop-Front Breetches and Trousers.  This pattern can be used to make either breeches (knee-length) for trousers (full-length) using a broad-fall drop front which was typical of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.  Garments can be made of either leather or fabric.  $12.00  (P)

Waistcoat and Vest Pattern.  Eagle's View Waistcoat and Vest Pattern is used to create garments appropriate from about the American Revolution through the Civil War and well into the "Wild West" period.  $12.00 (P)

Western Bib Shirt Pattern.  Used to create the bib-front shirt popular among cowboy action shooters.  Same style of shirt was very popular during the American Civil War, and was worn by volunteer firemen in Philadelphia, New York and other urban centers of the day. $12.00

Blanket Capote Pattern.  Use this pattern and an Early's of Witney or Hudson's Bay Blanket  to create a traditionally styled coat that will keep you warm in the coldest of weather conditions.  My own capote, made from a 4-point Early's of Witney blanket, has kept me comfortable at temperatures as low as -54 degrees (F).  $12.00  (G)
